The Youth Panel have launched their campaign to end negative stereotypes of those classed as NEET. Find out how you can get involved by visiting our website, or share your experiences using the hashtag #MoreThanNEET on twitter or facebook.


Get inspired at Greater Manchester Talent Match Exclusive Event
We are holding an exclusive interactive career inspiration day where we will be joined by several employers who will provide a variety of opportunities and advice. There will also be a number of exciting activities for young people to engage in including interactive sessions and workshops. Talent Coaches can click here to book their young people's places.

Young people design apps at BBC World of Work Visit

Wesley

Wesley, 25, from Manchester, joined Greater Manchester Talent Match through Back on Track after spending time in prison. Wesley is now a Dad and working as a Groundsworker doing a practical job that he really enjoys. Read Wesley's journey on our website.

Commissioning Briefing 2016

Commissioning decisions to be published in May
Final decisions around organisations commissioned from our February commissioning round will be published on our website in May and the final round of commissioning will be launched this summer. Future commissioning announcements will be released in the e-news.

The Greater Manchester Talent Match Opportunities Hub is the place to find holistic support, guidance and advice in your journey to being work-ready. New opportunities are added every day including work experience, training, apprenticeships, events and job fairs, volunteering opportunities and more. In this section of the e-news, we pick out our top three current opportunities:

What Is Your Big Idea? @ Manchester Central Library
Do you have a great idea to change your community? Are you starting a social enterprise? Youth Entrepreneur is a pitch event for young people aged 18-25. Deadline for applications is Friday 22nd April. 

Get On Track for Young Women with GreaterSport
Get on Track uses sport and physical activity to help you gain the skills, confidence, and opportunities to get a job, go to college or take on an apprenticeship. Young women aged 16-25 are eligible for this course. Starts Wednesday 27th April.

Project Octagon @ Oldham Coliseum Theatre
Oldham Coliseum Theatre is looking for male volunteer performers between the ages of 16 – 41 to take part in an exciting, UK wide, theatre project for Summer 2016.To book your place, you will need to attend one of the workshops taking place on Sunday 24th April.
