Beeburg in the garden

Volunteers' Week event a huge sucess
We're celebrating another brilliant Volunteers' Week, where many young people got together to volunteer and find out more about volunteering. We visited the National Football Museum, and took part in a day of arts volunteering at HOME, we spent an afternoon baking dog biscuits to donate to a local animal shelter in Bolton and even had a go at gardening at Falinge Park in Rochdale. The week was rounded off by an afternoon of bowling and pizza.

Young people on the programme were featured in Bolton News following our Volunteers' Week dog bicuit bake off. You can read the article here.


Changes coming to the Opportunities Hub
Over the past few months, we have been carrying out a review of the Greater Manchester Talent Match Opportunities Hub. An Executive Summary of the findings of this review can be downloaded on our website.


Gifts

Could you donate items for for our goodie bags or a prize for our raffle?
As part of our& celebratory Mixer event for the young people on the programme, we are looking for donations of items for a raffle. All contributors names will be mentioned and thanked during the event and other publicity. You have until 1st July 2016 to donate. More information about how to donate is on our website.


Youth Panel volunteer 762 hours in the last year
Over the last year, the Greater Manchester Talent Match Youth Panel have volunteered for an astounding 762 hours. This is the equivalent to almost 32 full days. You can find out their reactions to the news on our website.

Ryan

Ryan has been on a massive journey during his time on the Greater Manchester Talent Match programme, including a number of positive work experiences, volunteering and even a trip to Bulgaria. You can read Ryan's Story here.

Commissioning

Commissioning Round 4 to be launched soon
We will shortly be announcing our fourth and final round of commissioning for Talent Coach host organisations. We will circulate a special edition e-news with information about the new commissioning round within the next few weeks, so keep an eye on your inbox.

The Greater Manchester Talent Match Opportunities Hub is the place to find holistic support, guidance and advice in your journey to being work-ready. New opportunities are added every day including work experience, training, apprenticeships, events and job fairs, volunteering opportunities and more. Exclusive Opportunity: Greater Manchester Talent Match Mixer
This inspirational event is an opportunity for young people to get to know others on the Greater Manchester Talent Match programme and celebrate their talents and successes.

My Future ILM Open Day
This Open Day is for young people to explore a number of My Future ILM opportunities with Kids Around The Clock in Wythenshawe.

Volunteer Community Champions @ re:dish
Community Champions are ordinary people offering their time and support to help other people make a difference in their own lives. Re:dish is a charity that aims to improve the lives of everybody in Reddish.

Talent Coach Forum
The next Talent Coach Main Forum will take place on Wednesday 22nd June. All Talent Coaches have now been booked on and we look forward to seeing you all. Don't forget that GMCVO will be holding a plant sale on that day, so come along 12:30 – 4pm to buy some plants.
