Young people share stories and successes
On 11th July, over 100 guests - most of them young people - came together at The Lowry, Salford Quays for an inspirational celebration event. The event gave young people the opportunity to meet with others in similar situations to themselves and listen to stories from those who had achieved success on the programme. New Project Team staff
The Greater Manchester Talent Match Project Team have welcomed two new members of staff based at Greater Manchester Youth Network (GMYN). They are Rubbia Ullah, who will work with the Youth Panel to develop creative communications and content, and Vicky Bisova, our new Youth Panel apprentice.

Our new Talent Coaches have just completed their principles training and are ready to support young people in Greater Manchester. You can view a full list of host organisations on our website.

Could you deliver Greater Manchester Talent Match?
We are currently holidng our fourth and final commissioning round for new Talent Coach host organisations. To best equip potential applicants, we held a briefing session in mid-July. If you were unable to attend the event, copies of both presentations and a list of questions asked and answered are available on our Commissioning FAQ page

Substance abuse workshop

Positive feedback from Talent Coach Forum
Talent Coaches had their best Forum yet at the end of June, with the morning playing host to our quarterly Now Hiring: sessions and the support available for young people looking for work. During the afternoon, Talent Coaches were given the opportunity to learn from each other in a number of Talent Coach-run workshops on good practice in supporting young people with specific needs. Hidden Young People Research
Our Learning  and Development Officer is working with Talent Coaches to find out more about supporting young people who are not in receipt of support from elsewhere.

SunEmployment Roadshow led to jobs for young people
Many of our Talent Coaches reported the success of their young people from a 'SunEmployment' roadshow held by The Sun newspaper. Talent Coaches from both Bolton Lads & Girls Club and Peak Valley Housing have reported young people getting interviews and jobs from the event. The fourth and final commissioning round for Greater Manchester Talent Match is now open.
