Greater Manchester Talent Match supports the State of the Sector Survey.
GMCVO is working in partnership with other support organisations in Greater Manchester to assess the current size and scope of voluntary and community activity in the area. This information will provide a tool which we can all use to influence decision-makers, inform policy and drive improvements.

Vicky and Nicholas

As part of Mental Health Awareness week, our Youth Panel Apprentice, Vicky, talked about her journey to employment with the support of her Talent Coach, Nicholas from Peak Valley Housing. You can read her inspiring story here.

Bryan

Bryan loves his job as a kitchen porter, thanks to working with our Talent Coach Tracey from Breakthrough. Bryan uses BSL (British Sign Language) as he tells his story. You can watch Bryan's story here.

The Greater Manchester Talent Match Opportunities Hub is the place to find holistic support, guidance and advice in your journey to being work-ready. New opportunities are added every day including work experience, training, apprenticeships, events and job fairs, volunteering opportunities and more. In this section of the e-news, Janice Drew, our Opportunities Hub Officer, picks out her top three current opportunities:

Construction Course Open Day @ One Manchester
Are you interested in a career in construction? Do you want to gain exparience on a construction site and gain a 6 months temporary card? Come down to One Manchester's open day.

Get started with Apps with the Prince's Trust and Made by Milk
Get to learn about how applications are made, have the chance to design and produce a live application, learn more about coding and more. This is a fantastic week-long course open to 16-25 year olds currently out of work, education or training.
