"Talent Match helped me along the way to get to where I want to be"
In July 2016 Greater Manchester Talent Match held an event at The Lowry for young people on the programme. We asked for their feedback about their experiences the programme and we got some great responses. Click here to watch the video.

New Talent Coaches starting in December
Greater Manchester Talent Match are welcoming seven new Talent Coaches following our fourth and final commissioning round. New Talent Coaches will be hosted at current Host Organisations; Rochdale Connections Trust (RCT), United Reponse and The Broughton Trust and new Host Organisations; Bolton Solidarity Community Association (BSCA), The Gaddum Centre and Wigan Youth Zone. We make our mark on Sheffield at Talent Match conference
Staff and young people from Greater Manchester Talent Match attended the national Talent Match conference in October. The Youth Panel travelled to Sheffield to act as a welcoming party for delegates, we were invited to present on our research into 'hidden' young people and Charlie - who is on the programme with us - was a keynote speaker about her time on an internship at Sheffield Hallam University. Exclusive events led to increase in volunteering, employability and self-belief
Over the last year, we have held a number of opportunities for young people on the programme to support them along their journey to work. We are now pleased to publish reports on these events, detailing the opportunities themselves, their outcomes and further learning the programme can gain. Click here to download the reports.

Little more than a year ago, Tom Hibbs from Stockport was homeless and feeling at rock-bottom. Now he has a roof over his head, a job he loves and is the proud owner of Cycling UK’s Volunteer of the Year and Young Achiever of the Year awards. A budding garden enthusiast has got his big break, thanks to his Talent Coach at Peak Valley Housing Association. Nathan, 21, from Hattersley, has always aspired to be a gardener, but on completing his Level 1 in Horticulture at Tameside College back in 2011, he struggled to find paid work. Read his full story on our website.

The Greater Manchester Talent Match Opportunities Hub is the place to find holistic support, guidance and advice in your journey to being work-ready. New opportunities are added every day including work experience, training, apprenticeships, events and job fairs, volunteering opportunities and more. Free, Ways to Wellbeing Course @ Back on Track
Have you been feeling low, stressed, anxious or worried? Are you going through a recent life change and finding it difficult to cope? Back on Track is offering a range of courses to help you understand your symptoms and find ways to manage them. Learn ways to lift your mood and boost your confidence in a relaxed, friendly environment. 

Sports Coach Apprenticeship with Coach Core @ Etihad Campus
This year ‘Team Manchester’ will employ 20 young people who have the potential of becoming future Sports Coaches. They will be inviting applications for 40 places at our 2 day recruitment event on the 8th & 9th December 2016.

Greater Manchester VCSE Assembly - The Role of the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector in Population Health
GMCVO, the lead partner for Greater Manchester Talent Match, are holding an assembly to help you to have your say on the the strategy for Population Health. This meeting gives an opportunity to talk directly to public sector colleagues responsible for developing the strategy. Click here to book your place.

December Talent Coach Forum - Wednesday 14th December 2016
The next Talent Coach Main Forum will take place on Wednesday 14th December. All Talent Coaches have now been booked on and we look forward to seeing you all. 

Hidden: Who are ‘hidden’ young people and why are they not engaging with welfare support?
We're putting the finishing touches to our latest research on Hidden young people, looking at young people who are not in education, employment or training and are not accessing welfare support. We'll be publishing the findings soon, so keep an eye on our website and your inbox for the launch.

The Big Conversation 2017 - Tuesday 24th January 2017
Save the date for The Big Conversation 2017! This event is an upbeat and informative event bringing employers and young people together in a meaningful discussion on the issues surrounding youth unemployment. It will also be a valuable opportunity to create networks between employers, young people and Talent Coaches.
