Young people speak to employers at the Big Conversation

Why a ‘Big Conversation’ can help tackle youth unemployment in Greater Manchester
Over one hundred businesses, employees and young people met at an inspiring event held at People’s History Museum on Tuesday. The event gave young people the unique opportunity to meet employers in an informal environment with both groups being offered the chance to share their experiences. You can read our write-up of the event on our website here.

We're hiring! Contracts Officer, Engagement Officer and administrators
We have four vacancies working within the Greater Manchester Talent Match team. Could you be our new Contracts Officer - supporting the development of commissioning processes from design to evaluation and review? Could you be our new Employer Engagement Officer - working with employers on the programme? Or perhaps you could be one of two administrators, helping us with the Opportunities Hub? Taking the Talent Match message national
We've been spending a lot of time in the capital this month. Youth Panel member Charlie attended the Learning and Work Institute’s Youth Employment Convention, meeting MPs and attending workshops on homelessness, mental health and breaking barriers to employment and our programme manager Marie joined Youth Employment UK in Westminster to talk about youth unemployment.

Josh and Tracey

Josh is working with Tracey Briggs, one of our Talent Coaches at Back on Track Manchester. He popped by their offices recently to talk about the support Tracey has given him. Click here to read Josh's Story.

Working with her Talent Coach, Janet at Upturn Enteprise, Abbie's work ethic and dedication helped to lead to the creation of 10 job placements across Oldham Council for people with learning disabilities. Click here to read Abbie's Story.
