The November Talent Coach Main Forum
On Wednesday 29th November, Talent Coaches from across Greater Manchester came together at St Thomas Centre for the Main Talent Coach Forum. The morning involved two sessions: Young People and Substance Misuse, and a Now Hiring workshop which discussed Greater Manchester’s retail sector. The afternoon included an examination of plans which will help ensure young people get the support they need beyond the Talent Match programme’s end date. There was also a consultation from Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce (GMCC) around their forthcoming Local Employer Support Project.

We have a vacancy for Programme Manager (Operations)
As we enter the final year of the current programme we are expanding the management capacity of the Talent Match team by recruiting for a second Programme Manager who will be responsible for the management and delivery of the programme. This post will work alongside the current Programme Manager, whose focus will shift to the development and resourcing of a legacy programme.

BBC World of Work Visit
On the 30th of November, Talent Coaches and their young people attended a World of Work visit to the BBC, based at Media City in Salford. Attendees visited the Strictly Come Dancing Boardroom and the set of North West Tonight. Some young people had a go at presenting, whilst others tested out virtual drawing in the BBC Blue Room.
