Hello , and welcome to the final e-news update of 2015 on the work of Greater Manchester Talent Match. This e-news includes a collection of bitesize news from the huge amount of work the programme has achieved in the past month. The Big Conversation 2015 goes off with a bang!
The second of our Big Conversation events was a huge success with over 100 young people, employers and Talent Coaches joining us for an afternoon of Christmas crackers, conversation, food, music, drama and entertainment. Click here to read more about the event.
“Let’s Start”: Talent Coach Pilot course a success
Earlier this year, two Talent Coaches from The Manchester College delivered a 6 day Motivational & Confidence Course for their young people. The course ran over six days and included camping, kayaking, outdoor climbing, abseiling, archery, cooking, a visit to a golf driving range and visits from inspirational speakers. They filmed the journey throughout the course, which has now become a short film. You can watch the film by clicking here.
Successful employers meetings held
The employers group met for a second time in November to discuss inclusive and accessible recruitment for young people. The meeting was the best attended yet and brought with it a number of new employers signing up to take part in the programme.
Mindfulness course brings out hidden poet
Callum Seaton, 19 attended a mindfulness course as part of his journey on the programme. During the course, he wrote poem looking at the effect that hopes and dreams have on motivation. You can read Callum's poem by clicking here.
Second BBC World of Work Visit
The BBC at Media City played host to a second World of Work Visit at the end of November. The Greater Manchester Talent Match Exclusive event offered a full morning of interactive and fun sessions and workshops that not only highlighted the work of the BBC but also provided information and advice about careers and how to apply.
Every month, we highlight the story of one person involved in Greater Manchester Talent Match, including beneficiaries, Talent Coaches, employers and local organisations. Could you deliver Greater Manchester Talent Match in Bury, Rochdale, Wigan or Tameside?
In January 2016, we will be inviting frontline organisations working with young people in Greater Manchester to apply to host Talent Coaches who could deliver the service in either Bury, Rochdale, Tameside or Wigan. During this time, we will also be hosting Briefing Sessions for interested organisations. You can book onto these below. Click here for more information about the upcoming commissioning.

Aldi Distribution Centre Recruitment
Team Bolton is collaborating with Aldi Distribution Centre to support their recruitment for the Selector job role. There are initially 10 Selector role vacancies to support this move.
