World of Work Visit & Volunteering Opportunities @ Dogs Trust Manchester

Opportunity Provider: Dogs Trust

World of Work Visit to have look around and possible volunteering opportunities at Dogs Trust Manchester.

Dogs Trust Manchester threw open its doors on 23 October 2014, making it our 21st rehoming centre and our first in Greater Manchester.

The opening of the centre was only made possible thanks to the generosity of our supporters – and what an achievement! The state of the art centre includes air-conditioned, under floor heated kennels, outdoor exercise areas with sandpits and water fountains, a full veterinary/surgical suite, an indoor agility ring and training hall, plus a café with a viewing balcony so potential rehomers can see the dogs having fun outside.

Our team of 40 dedicated canine carers, training and behaviour specialists and veterinary staff, as well as our fantastic volunteers, are all on hand to give the dogs the best care possible whilst they await their new forever homes.

This opportunity is an escorted visit around a modern dog re-homing centre, with structured discussions about the different roles working there both paid and voluntary.

Perfect for any young people interested in working with dogs!
