Rethink @ Bolton YMCA

Opportunity Provider: YMCA Bolton

Open on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 5.30pm-7.30pm, Rethink is a closed session aimed at young people 13-19 years old who present with mental health and wellbeing issues. Young people can self refer, or a worker can refer on to the project.

Rethink will be engaging young people who suffer from low level mental wellbeing issues such as depression, stress, anxiety and self harm. The session is largely informal, but will have activities going on which allow young people to discuss and explore themselves. There is also a one-to-one worker available, with plenty of staff members around to have private chats who will help support the young person with different problems. Workers on Rethink will signpost young people to specialised organisations if appropriate. This group is a great way to meet new people in a non-judgemental and safe environment.
