Cafe Volunteer @ Manchester Mind

Opportunity Provider: Manchester Mind

Food For All cafés at Harpurhey Wellbeing Centre and Zion Community Resource Centre provide placements for people with mental health issues as well as those without.  Volunteers help to plan, prepare and serve meals to customers, with support from workers and lead kitchen volunteers.

It is a great place for people to learn new skills, get support, meet people and be part of a team. Volunteers can expect to receive support and access to other Manchester Mind services and will also be given the opportunity to link up with a mentor who can work with you to identify other training needs, interests or goals and then to provide support to access them. Being active, connecting with others, learning new things are all important to maintaining good mental health.
