On this free course you will learn to explore different types of writing, improve and widen your reading and improve your general communication skills. It helps you to gain confidence with writing, presentation skills and skills to improve employment prospects.  Learn how to write letters and emails effectively and fill in forms with confidence.  It will help you to prepare for a qualification and to progress on to the 'Move On' level.

Before joining a class, you will need a skills check to make sure you that you enter at the right level of study for you.  Skills checks are held frequently throughout the year .  You can request an individual meeting or join our regular skills check sessions.  Some courses are online and blended learning courses and you will need to have an online skills check and tutorial for these.

Courses and skills checks are held at Oldham Library and Lifelong Learning Centre and other venues across the borough.
