Manchester Women’s Aid Run the Moving On group in the North and South areas of Manchester.
The aim of the course is to enable women to gain a better understanding of the behavioural patterns of a potentially abusive partner or family member and the impact Domestic Abuse has on themselves and their children/dependents.
The course informs women on how to safeguard themselves and their children/dependents from experiencing further incidents of Domestic Abuse.
The course also includes discussions on personal development and building self-esteem, confidence and assertiveness skills.
The course runs for twelve weeks (term time only) in local community centres and we may be able to provide crèche facilities for children aged under 5.
Women who would like to attend are required to undertake an assessment to ensure their suitability.
