Cllr Sue Murphy
Sue was elected as a Councillor for Brooklands Ward in Wythenshawe, Manchester in 1995 and has been deputy Leader of the Council since 2010. Her current council portfolio is Public Sector Reform, essentially how do Manchester City Council deliver services differently to achieve better outcomes for residents. Sue was previously responsible for Skills and Employment. She is also Chair of Governors of The Manchester College.
Sue became involved in Greater Manchester Talent Match as portfolio holder for Skills. Sue believes that the most significant difference in the way Greater Manchester Talent Match works compared to other schemes is the involvement of young people in the design, delivery and monitoring of the project . She is particularly interested in how to deliver services differently and feels that the personalised approach of Greater Manchester Talent Match is innovative and effective.
