Reports

One of the main principles for the Greater Manchester Talent Match programme is a focus on learning. We are trying out innovative approaches to find what works in supporting the most disadvantaged young people towards employment. Our learning from the programme will be used to influence regional skills and employment strategies, ensuring that the connections we create between young people, employers and organisations remain as a legacy for Greater Manchester after the programme ends.

Hidden: Who are ‘hidden’ young people and why are they not engaging with welfare support?

As a result of the lack of support for ‘hidden’ young people to get into work, Greater Manchester employers are missing out on potential young talent. This report focuses on young people who are not in employment, education or training (NEET) and not in receipt of benefits and the unique issues they encounter..
