Interest in Greater Manchester Talent Match:

Hannah’s interest in the Steering Group is driven by the fact that young people are disproportionately affected by unemployment with certain groups of young people being disproportionately affected. This is not and should not be acceptable. The leaving care service in Manchester is responsible for ensuring that all care leavers aged 16-25 years are supported to engage in education, employment and training opportunities. Manchester has a higher percentage of care leavers in university which is a fantastic however, we know from research, from national and local statistics and feedback from young people themselves that they are a group who are far more likely to be not in education, employment and training. GM Talent match is an opportunity to work together to improve things for those young people and it’s a privilege to be part of.
